Psssst!!! Attention all fashion addicts! We have an important thing to tell you! Yes, we came across Jason Wu’s Miss Wu lookbook and had to share it with you as well!
Oh, but we’re so excited to show you the young designer’s incredibly stylish, flirty and rather playful goodies from his new Miss Wu collection.
Describing the line, Wu explained that, “The Jason Wu collection is my aesthetic, my design sensibility. Miss Wu is my personality. It’s fun to explore that facet of who I am – more downtown, with a relaxed attitude.”
Okay, but who is in fact Jason Wu? Speaking to the Fashionista, the talented designer describes himself using tree words. “Hmm… mischievous, humorous, and…easy-going, which people don’t expect from me because the clothes I make, you know the clothes from [my main line] are quite womanly and sophisticated and people always think I’m very serious. In fact, I’m not very. I mean in some ways I am serious – like when it comes to my work – but my personality is not so serious,” he said.
Miss Wu features a cute range of pieces such as cashmere sweaters and cardigans, leather skirts, feather-print dresses, sleeveless shirtdresses, stretch skinny pants, lattice-print chiffon blouse, brushstroke-striped and color-blocked pleated skirts, cotton twill overcoats and trench coats, biker jackets, and many more. The ’60s-inspired contemporary collection, available exclusively at Nordstrom, in store and online, brings to life the modern gamine.
“You can see the Jason woman is much more polished and manicured. The Miss Wu girl, on the other hand, is she’s a little more worn in, a little grittier, her hair is a little messier, her makeup might be from the night before. But the base of it all, like with my Jason line, is that it hits on all the things I love,” Wu told the Fashionista.
